We’ve made our way into 2018 and the competition season is just around the corner. 2018 is an important year in many ways, first and foremost we got the World Championship but also the beginning of the qualifying period for Tokyo 2020.
And this is my plan for the upcoming season, but it’s still not a hundred percent confirmed.
In the end of March, we head to the first World Cup of the year in Al Ain, UAE. It’s the first chance to get the qualifying score for the Paralympics in Tokyo 2020 (listed below) and the first international competition in almost a year for me.
|R4 (Air Rifle Standing)||620.0|
|R5 (Air Rifle Prone)||628.0|
|R9 (50m Prone)||605.0|
In May, I’m hoping to go to the World Championship in South Korea. It’s also the first chance to earn a quota for the Paralympics and my best chance is the R9 (50m Rifle Prone SH2).
After that, we head into summer and more training again before the next World Cup in France in September. I’m still not sure if I’m going there, but I do hope so since it’s the next chance to earn a quota.
Otherwise, my year is going to consist of a lot of training and hard work!
